Pete Candland has represented the people of the Gainesville District on the Prince William Board of County Supervisors since 2012.
Pete attended public school in Maryland, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Brigham Young University, and earned an MBA from Marymount University.
After completing his education, Pete worked in the telecom industry for some of the country’s largest organizations and spent several years as the Executive Vice President of a defense contracting company based in Prince William County. Most recently, Pete has led non-profit organizations in the field of consumer rights. With a specialty in finance and contract negotiations, Pete has worked to create agreements and lead coalitions for positive results throughout his professional life.
Pete has spent the last 24 years happily married to his best friend, Robyn. They are the proud parents of four children, and they live in the Rural Crescent. Robyn is a former fifth grade teacher in the Prince William County School system, and all four of their children have attended PWC public schools. Pete and Robyn are active in their children sports teams, with Pete coaching basketball.
